Bio

George William Cobb’s golf course architecture career took root during his US military service, designing several courses at basecamps. 


Today, George Cobb designs reach over 150 notable Southeastern US courses including Augusta National’s Par-3 Course, and Quail Hollow. 


Honors/recognitions:

 - South Carolina Golf Association Hall of Fame

 - Carolinas Golf Association Hall of Fame

 - Numerous PGA and other tournaments held on Cobb courses


Mr. Cobb was born in Savannah Georgia on January 2, 1914, ultimately made home in Greenville South Carolina, and passed on January 15, 1986.
